Brooke Shields made my week...

So on this very hot nyc afternoon I stepped out of my office building in soho to get a bite and there she was. I totes love B. She is one of my favorite actresses and since she lives here and I live here, I didn't want to approach her in a creepy fan-like way so when her adorable little daughter waved at me, I got a smile from her! Just FYI, she is gorgeous in person and seems like she'd be super nice! Thanks Brooke!

I feel terrible that my next post is going to be about public restrooms and vermin. Sorry B!

Now finish up them taters, I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

Last night, Mega and I went to McCarren Park to see Wet Hot American Summer...And it was awesome! We drank brass monkeys out of sweet ice cream shaped water bottles! Brass monkeys are the poor man's mimosa (orange juice+olde E)  Howeves, the best part of the night was that Paul Rudd, Michael Showalter and Joe Lo Truglio were all there to introduce the movie...they were hi-larious! We were promised Q&A but it didn't happen so none of us layed any of them (boo!)

Whilst there, we noticed a disturbing trend among some of the "hip" kids. It's socks. Not just any socks but knee high socks. Some people, the hippest of the hip, only wear one knee high gym sock. Others wear two. FYI, it's July. It's also bawls hot. this is not the only trend in sock wear. The hipsters in my 'hood (midtown east...whats up?) wear socks with sandals. FYI sandal and sock guy: just because the socks have no toes, does not make it okay to wear them with summer footwear.

Perhaps this is one trend I'll catch on to. I can see it now: spending a paycheck on American Apparel knee highs. I'll probably wear three socks at a time (one on my arm maybe?) to be the uber-hip hipster....that'd be stellar.

McCarren has great movies every Tuesday (and theyre outside at dusk, which is a very specific time) Virgin Suicides is next week and RUSHMORE is the last one they show this summer! I'm siked!

why did i miss that!? oh yeah, thats right, i was too busy giving blow jobs in cars in long island...

I really like that NKOTB song "Summertime" After hearing this song, I heard my little sister's summer play list, which was full of songs that I loved when I was in 7th grade (2gether! savage garden, third eye blind among many of the good ones) and of course NKOTB. Brings me back to Jordan Knight, my first crush.

I had a weird series of conversations this weekend with the family. Everything from boob jobs to drinking. It was tres awkward.
Here's what I learned this 4th of July:
1. I should get my hair colored and a boob job before I get married. If I ever want to get married
2. Everyone knows a guy.
3. My mom is super embarrassed by me
(she also gave my bedroom away.)
4. My front steps are good for opening beers.
5. My sister thinks coors light is the best beer on earth and while she has a lot to learn, I respect that she likes it because of the color changing mountains, and only in bottles.
6. Long Island contains some slutty/dirty boys. And I enjoy their company a lot of the time. They make me laugh.
7. Neighbors do not like when you yell red-neck comments as they cheer at fireworks.
8. roman candles are weapons.

Summer's been going by really fast...both Meg and I have had limited internet as of late.
So Happy 7th of July!
